"Motion Meets Print: When Worlds Collide"
The Propville DSLR Playground (everyone shoots) and Forum is a 1 Day workshop on July 25th, 2009
Our friends at Propville Directory are holding their "DSLR Equipment Playground" on Saturday July 25th from 9am-5pm, where you can get your hands on a Hybrid DSLR and shoot HD Video on a pre-lit set. This is a cross-over event for Photographers and Cinematographers. Propville are offering a special 10% discount off the regular $95 ticket price for DCS members. This event fits in well with our NorCal DCS "DSLRs for Motion Picture Production" event on Thursday July 23rd (just a couple of days earlier). See other Forum posting for info on that event.
Presenters:
Jon Felix - Jon works as a Director of Photography on commercial, industrial and documentary productions. During his 30 year career, he has also shot five feature films and hundreds of TV commercials. His work includes two films nominated for British Academy awards (BAFTA’s). Jon is an acknowledged expert in the field of digital cinematography and is a regular contributor to professional publications.
Raj Gajwani - Raj is the CEO of SilverDock, a digital video agency for the e-commerce industry. SilverDock designs, produces, video merchandising and video advertising for clients ranging from Amazon.com to branded manufacturers and startup e-retailers.
Mark Rutherford - Mark has been a still photographer for over 25 years, photographing a wide range of subjects including fashion, jewelry, portrait and still life. Recognized as a pioneer in digital workflow since the 1990's, Mark has been a frequent speaker at Seybold and other venues across the country.
Cost:
Tickets are $95, include lunch, expert speakers and playtime with gear in the afternoon. 10% DCS discount is obtained by placing a phone order on (415) 454-1260.
