Has anyone used AJA Io HD? I wonder how solid this product would be in the field. Since it's advertised to be very mobile, I am considering to purchase one to use with my 17" Macbook Pro.
My questions:
1. Does it convert HD-SDI signal to ProRes HQ AND store it to an HDD realtime?
2. If I don't wanna be tethered, can I connect a deck via FW800 to convert the data into ProRes HQ and write it to an HDD?
3. Are these two above possible at all or do I need my laptop in the chain?
4. Does it have internal HDD as temporary data storage?
